All bookings and can be made via the booking request form above or email. I won't be able to quote for jobs over the phone. Bookings will not be confirmed until a deposit has been received. Please note, I will still be answering other requests until a deposit has been received. Attendance will be confirmed once full payment of booking cost has been received, this must be made at least 7 days prior to the event.
Cancellations must be received in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Any cancellations made within 48 hours prior to the event are not liable for a refund. All other refunds will be discussed and will vary depending on the circumstance and event. Loss of earnings and any prep will also need to be taken into consideration.
TERMS, CONDITIONS & INFO:
All our products are cosmetic grade, non-toxic and hypo allergenic. Sponges are single use and disinfected after each event for hygiene purposes. All glitter used is certified biodegradable to minimise damage to the environment.
Products can be removed easily with warm soapy water or a makeup remover. Some products can be slightly more stubborn due to pigments, gels, latex or skin glues used and usually come off easily with a bit of oil (coconut, baby, olive, cooking all fine). I have been painting for 10 years and have not had any issues yet, but please do not hesitate to get in touch if you are an exception.
Artists will arrive within 30 minutes of the start time to allow time to set up. If earlier arrival is required, an additional charge will be added for our time. Please note mileage will be added as extra. Any bookings over 45 minutes travel time from artists location will incur a small additional charge to cover the additional time. Parking nearby should be provided by the client to allow ease of access when unloading wherever possible.
We have your safety and interests in mind at all times and as a result we reserve the right not to paint under certain conditions – please have a quick read of the examples below:
We will not paint anyone who is obviously unwell (runny nose/temperature/rash) or has any other visible skin complaint (eczema; chicken pox; cold sore; open wounds; eye infections etc).
We will not paint faces of anyone under 3 years of age. Our public liability does not cover anyone under the age of 3. The face paint manufacturers do not recommend paint for anyone below this age as their skin is just not ready and very young children can sometimes be overwhelmed by the results. We may paint a small design on hands or arms of children younger than 3 years of age but this will be at the discretion of the face painter.
We will not paint anyone against their wishes (this may result in stopping painting before the final result if a child becomes uncomfortable or changes their mind). Please do not force your child to be painted if they really are uneasy or unwilling – face painting should be an enjoyable experience for both the child, parent and artist.
We are not liable and not present to look after your children so please make sure a parent or guardian is present when your children are being painted.
We can bring everything we need including table and chairs if required. All you need to provide is a well lit space for us to work in. We must be sheltered from any elements if the event is outdoors.
We carry Full Public Liability Insurance cover of up to £5m.
PAINTED PEACH - COVID-19 HYGIENE PRACTICE, for Events and Productions :
As we all know, the pandemic has had monumental effects on us all, particularly the events and beauty industries. We’ve updated a few procedures and will be taking extra precautions to ensure we at Painted Peach are reducing any risk of spreading the virus before, during and after each event.
As a hair, makeup, SFX, prosthetic, face and body art service, hygiene has always been a crucial part of our practice. We have only use 1 sponge per face per gig, wash/disinfect brushes after every use and thoroughly clean our kit between each booking (as all professionals should).
We will be following government guidelines as and when necessary. Masks will be worn at the discretion of the artist unless the client or production specifically requires us to do so. We will carry hand sanitiser for ourselves and anyone wishing to use it.
As cleaning materials between each face will take more time than it used to, we thank you for your cooperation, understanding, support and patience with our new working practice. It’s important we follow certain hygiene routines to protect not just you and your guests, but also myself and any other artists working for Painted Peach so we may continue to operate as a business.
